Actually, I was referring to the 2-shuttle split ring, where the second thread tats an insertion before the whole ring is closed. (Refer to the swap-over in the video.) The Takeda ring is a single-shuttle method.

Yes, I realised that. From that I jumped to another realisation - that I had done a two-colour starting ring. The rings at the ends of the arms here (whereas the ring at the top is a regular split ring, and I can't remember now exactly what I did for the bottom):
