you can still keep on tatting..... at least for a couple more weeks and still get them to her by the end of February. I have about one more full shuttle of "pink" thread then I'm out. I should be able to get up to around 140 squares +/- ..... we see.
I wasn't gonna, but have .... Some of us Indian tatters are sending in our work together courtesy Usha ...
Worked 9 squares today (plus 1 in the beginning which is a bit larger), and will make some more tomorrow. All original pattern.
Would've loved to create my own square pattern or adapt one of my Inchies. Torn between using my limited time to tat more of same or do trials ....oh well, tomorrow is a new day!
Well, I didn't have quite a full shuttle left on the tube but I had enough to give me a total of 74 more squares to add to my 63 original pattern squares giving me a final total of 137 squares... I was shooting for 140.... but that’s close enough! I only had about 6” of pink thread left on the shuttle... and Now I’m out and done!
I mailed out my package of squares today .... I miss counted... I sent out 75 in this batch.... yeay! She posted another picture today of several letters and packages she has just received! It looks like she is getting a good response.... I do hope she meets her quota and then some!

Wow, you really do have a turn of speed!
Day 1 - 9
Day 2 - 10
Day 3 - 4 (in morning only). Now for 2nd half of the day - how many ???
Using one shuttle and ball.
in reply to muskaan's post:
Wow, Muskaan, you're fast, too! Which pattern(s) are you using?
@IdahoCanuck - 137 !!!
@ninetta - 101!!! plus a new original pattern!
@janemactats - 48 plus a new original pattern!
@squeeky - 25 plus working on adding a Benporath square to our collection!
@FionaT - 19
@muskaan - 24
@Judy - 12
@kjminniti - 9
@becky400 - 9
@Tim - 4
@Tattingmargaret - 2?
We had 390 squares announced on this thread, not including mine and those mentioned by guilds!!! Fantastic work, everyone. Aaaaannnd, (drumroll, please) @IdahoCanuck is the winner! I'll e-mail her privately to find out what book she would like me to order for her. WhahOOOO!
GUILDS that are participating:
Melbourne Chat & Tat - a couple
Shuttlebirds of Spokane
Tri-Tatters of Raleigh - (not including Moraih) 69
And I reached 204 by my Feb. 1st deadline, bringing our total here to 594! I'll get mine mailed Monday. I want to starch and block the Frauberger squares first to make them look nice. :)
Good work!
Congrats to all! Especially @IdahoCanuck!
@idahocanuck
Nice work on the list, @moraih
-- this was taken after the morning session. In the sun.
-'- this is at shuttle-down right now. (A contract between DH & I to not tat after 10 pm ;-P)
Day 3 total - 13 !!!! Now to sew in the ends of these 13 before retiring for the night.
@GraceT, all are Cathy's original pattern but with 4 stitch repeats instead of 5. due to Anchor thread thickness. So I do have fewer stitches to tat per motif ;-D
My quickest time is 20 minutes but without including sewing in ends.
Hoping to make 50 .

That's fantastic, Muskaan! Even with the smaller stitch count, I'd still say you're really speedy! Thanks for pitching in. :)
Hello,
First time on craftree ! Don't know exactly how it works but from what I see I can deduct #TatAMonumentInPink has fans ! ( I couldn't read all posts yet)
About the number, I will communicate on 1st March. I just want to tell you that hundreds of poeple sent me pictures or messages to tell me they join the action, but I received letters only from a SMALL PART of them yet, so my view on the number is biaised. I just want to say, it's time to send your squares AND your wishes AND your e-mail address (so that I can notify you personaly when I receive them). Although the most complete album is on Facebook (page Canarithy), I have also posted all pictures on Flickr (https://www.flickr.com/photos/138507760@N08/albums/72157669311118639) now.
For a larger promotion, it would also be great if you could share on Instagram with #TatAMonumentInPink.
I'm still looking for translations (asian and african languages).
About the monument, I'm in contact with the Brussels State Secretary for equal rights who deelply believes in this project and we are currently looking for the best place in Brussels and I will communicate on this as soon as possible too, in the Facebook event (https://www.facebook.com/events/1904280493234416/).
Thanks for everything you do. It you know other forums, please let me know.

Hi, Cathy! I'm happy you could join us here. I'll get my squares in the mail first thing Monday. :)

in reply to Canarithy 's post:
. Great you could join us Cathy! Welcome!
It looks like you found your way around the site just fine.
And yes, there are a few of us PinkMonument fans here.
I finished tatting 55 of the original squares few days back and also designed 2 new squares. It's taking a lot of time making the presentations. But I finally got pdf of one square posted. I know it's late in the day, but I like a personal challenge. Calling this Classic Square and here is direct link to pdf.
Since the thread thickness varies, stitch count for both size 20 Lizbeth & Anchor are given, along with a few variations.
@Canarithy, I will be mailing them on the 19th and you should receive them within a couple of days by courier. There might be squares from other Indian tatters in the parcel as well - I'll let you know later.
Thanks for this fun initiative.
@moraih, I got at least 1 square done in 15 minutes flat ;-P Wasn't timing myself, just happened that the fm news started & finished at same time as my tatting.
in reply to muskaan's post:
Oh! Thank you, Muskaan. I look forward to giving it a try!
I've got to jet if I'm going to get my squares in the mail this morning. I ended up at 207 - I may be a slow poke but I am persistant! I'm excited everyone got so many done. We ALL ROCK!!!
Hello, would like to share a link to your blog on the event. If you agree with this, could you send the best link to Canarithy@canarithy.be ?
Your pattern is beautiful. Thanks a lot
in reply to moraih's post:
Wow! 207. AND 2 revised patterns!
As for speed, I doubt anyone can keep up the "55 in 5 and 1 in 15" for long. Running a 100 dash and a marathon, Leigh!
I've emailed the link, Cathy.
To all #TatAMonumentInPink tatters who have blogs talking about the action, please send me the link to canarithy@canarithy.be if you want me to publish it in the event on FB.
Heart Square pattern pdf
Stitchcount for both Lizbeth 20 & Anchor 20 are given in pdf. Also single colour and 2-colour variations.
