Okay, I'm still alive, still working on the tablecloth. Yesterday I finished oval triangle 2/4 which is actually triangle 6/8, so I'm really close.

Unfortunately, I've been distracted. I just finished the white section of my snowflake afghan, to hopefully clear space out of my craft cabinet... And then hubby gives me the puppy dog eyes. "Will you make some crochet alpacas for my class?" So here I am, crocheting 3 amigarumi alpaca in 2 1/2 weeks. Because I have so much spare time on my hands. I will return to the tablecloth just as soon as they are done, and hopefully bang out another triangle... before summer.

LOL. Life has a way of kicking us around sometimes. Hang in there. You'll get it done.

It's been three months since I updated? Yikes! Really sorry about that. Currently, I have six of the oblong motifs left before I have finished all eight triangles. I am hoping to finish it in the next couple of weeks which will mean I have to iron all the loose parts and start on the last two long rows. I hit a plateau and spent some time on a non-thread related project. I have vanished from a lot of things recently, not the least because my two year old daughter requires constant attention. Anyway, I am working on this again and will hopefully have a massive photo to post before the end of June.

Two year olds certainly have a way of wrecking our most carefully laid plans. The project can wait and so can we. Two year olds also have a way of becoming 21 right before your eyes, and way earlier than you're prepared for them to. So she takes precedence.

Okay, I'm now four motifs away. I am trying to finish them one per day. And then I've got to get an enlarged photo of the original photo. I'm going to work the rows that connect the triangles in reverse, only because I need to standardize the numbers.

And immediately after I posted this, about to finish a motif, I noticed a mistake. Then I made a further mistake in cutting it out because I was working in the dark. Time for another cup of coffee. I now have six motifs to do. It's okay. One of the motifs I cut out was accidentally made with the, er, wrong white thread. It didn't even match. So.... back to work.

Oh my!.... your perseverance and progress is inspiring! Sorry about the setbacks, they happen, but sometimes for the best! Good thing you caught the miss matched thread now before getting any further! And @Lynn is right! Your little one always comes first! Hugs!

Okay, so it's very difficult to get a photo of the whole thing, and it's been in storage so it needs to be ironed out again, but here you go, four motifs on the southwestern corner, two rows around and 24 motifs left to go.

Plodding on....

Wow. After all this time, the end is coming into view. I can see why you're anxious to finish this. Have you chosen your lenin inserts for it yet? That's the part that would stymie me.

Wow. Wow! That's just jaw-dropping. It must be over six feet across by now! Go, girl! (When your little girl permits, of course. )

Heard an analysis the other day about how persistence is more important than inspiration when it comes to success. You're the most persistent person I know... you will feel the best when its finished and you can drape it on a table. The toddler is most important. She'll have to learn to look after this heirloom, too.

Who has two thumbs, cramping fingers, and just finished the last of the eight triangular sections?

My computer was struck by lightning but the hard drive is probably okay. Point being it has my photo manipulation software on it. This sucks because all my pics are high res. Anyway, google was kind enough to make a collage that WAS small enough. So here it is:

Work begins tomorrow on the first of two rows.

Missed the deadline by a bit, the tea cloth turned five on the 12th.

I have ceased to be astonished by this. It's just who you are by now. Still want to congratulate you.

Okay, I have decided that I will make my life a little easier by making the 24 outer motifs first and then connecting them through the final rows last.

We are almost there, dear friends.
