uh-oh....thanks heaps for the alert....I'm sitting idling between the projects and am off to check her blog out!...I got fond of the doily just the way it is....I'm itching to find out what the new round brings.....uh-oh - I can see some hard colour decisions will need to be made again.....Thanks heaps!
Hello again...I'm having trouble seeing numbers on the photo instruction...when I blow up photo it all goes blurry....can anyone tell me what are the numbers in red and what are the ones in blue ? I can not decide what the blue ones are telling me....Your kind help is much needed here!
The numbers on the right (blue, I think... Don't have it in front of me) give you the order in which the elements are tatted ... But if you have made it this far you will realize that it is done in the same order as round 2....
The numbers on the left (red, I think) are the stitch counts... They are as follows starting with a side ring...
ring 1: 1-2-2-2, vsp, 2-2-2-1 close ring & RW
Long Chain: 6 vsp 7+ (to picot on star in previous round) 7 vsp 6+ (to vsp of ring 1) 6 RW
ring 2: 1-2-2-2-2-2-2-1. Close ring, RW
chain: 6 RW
Repeat from ring 1 and remember to join the chain at the 1 st vsp to the 2nd vsp of the previous chain.
you can see from the picture where to join to the previous round and where to just leave a picot on the long chains... The vsp (very small picots) are where there are joins.
Where you join to the small leaf motifs of the previous round, the long chain will have a small thrown ring of 2-2+2-2 in the place of the center picot on the long chain, and joining to the center picot of the closest ring of the leaf motif.
I hope this makes sense to you. If not, I will write it out more completely in the morning as it is 1:00am here and I have gone to bed Ü
Oh! Is THAT what the blue numbers are? I never would have figured it out!
Fox : ))
Thanks heaps IdahoCanuck!...you've saved my day.....I just could not figure out what the blue ones mean.... as a stitch-count they made no sense....I can see the plot now....I'm off to figure out what colours to put in....()....
Can't wait to see what you come up with! Ü
I'm about 1/4 th the way around and using the same colors as the similar previous rows. It seems bunched up abit but she warned of this and said not to worry ..... So I am soldiering on. I think it is starting to reveal what the next row(s) need to be... Can't wait to see if I am correct :) So exciting! I love a good mystery!
Yes, thank you for your input on the red numbers, IdahoCanuck. I couldn't figure them out either. I spotted right away that they had nothing to do with the stitch count. I do think it funny that NOW she tells us what order the segments are tatted in (this is the third row, I think, that is using this pattern).
Well, Here is my row 6.....I had a LOT of tatting time on the 10 hour drive to the coast.
..... it is kind of ruffly, but as Renulek stated.. I think it will work out ok..... It mainly needs the next row to hold all the outer flowers in line.
So, now back to the Honey Napkin! Row 10 awaits!

Looks lovely, I like your colour scheme
IdahoCanuck,
It looks amazing! Great colours.
You are fast! i am only 1/2 through the round.
This is where I was yesterday. Have managed a bit more today.
I am totally out of the pink thread and running low on the yellow and actually thought we were done with this! So I have to be very creative with whatever Renulek comes up with next. This project was for getting rid of some colours I would not buy again and now I am hooked and left with quite a thread challenge!

It's looking great so far Fox! Remember... I was trapped in a car for 10+ hours with nothing else to do and I was already almost half way done. HA!
I'm also wondering if I'm going to need to order some more thread.... My purple Iris light ( small flower rings) is running quite low.
This row looks great ladies! Can't wait to get back to it now! Glad I ordered 4 & 5 balls of the colors I planned to use now!
Goodnes..your guys are going like fire....I've just settled my mind on colour scheeme.....yet to do a stitch....Both doilies are looking very-very-very special....I am very curious what colour comes next in Foxes round 7....love a good chalenge!
Veramente bello! Appena ho un po' di tempo, voglio farlo anche io! Mi piace molto questo centrino!
wow it is beautiful. I gotta hurry up with the 5th role and do this new row.
I dropped a picture of row 5 in the Renulek-group. I thought this was the last row :). Oke.... start again. It is a beauty.
Fox sei davvero bravissima e perfetta!
Renulek has posted row 7 of this doily here:
http://renulek.blogspot.com/2013/05/serwetka-sniezynkowa-rzad-7.html?m=1
if I read her translations correctly, she says this is the last row?... I hope not, but all things must come to an end sooner or latter. She has also added a small trifoil fill-in as part of the 5th row as an option.... I won't be adding it as I really like the heart shaped negative space.
happy tatting everyone! I will have to wait awhile as my left arm is currently down for repairs :(
