I made several changes to the original pattern:
On the daisies, I added a picot after the second set to hold the petals together.
Using a base ring of 10ds on the coils instead of 14 results in more even onion rings. Picots were then spaced 5ds apart to stabilize the ring layers. A mock picot was used for the 20th picot.
In rows 4 and 5 the bare thread over the coils is 5/8 instead of 3/8 as over the daisies. The coils take longer thread space to cover them.
